The pitch is correct at 1/2 inch however the roller width of 420 chain is more narrow than #40 and #41 chain. This sprocket is too thick and requires modifications. I used a 1/8 inch 4.5 inch round cutoff wheel to grind down each side of the sprocket teeth. Worked perfectly. The chain now wraps completely around sprocket without issue.
