I have a Maytag Centennial electric dryer. I always use the automatic dry setting, so when it stopped drying, I assumed none of the settings worked. (although I was wrong about that.) What I did first was to take apart the lint filter in the back of the machine and completely clean it out, along with the vent. It didn't help.
