I have a 1983 Powermatic/Burke Millrite with the long knee option (about 14" of Y travel), varispeed, 1HP motor, R-8 spindle, with the 8x36 table, and 24"x14" travel. The leadscrews are in good shape with low backlash, all the scrape marks are still visible on the ways and knee, and the spindle is quiet and cool running.

The Burke MVN and the Powermatic MVN mills are the same except for the belt guards and the paint jobs. Both are high quality. There were many options available when ordering them. I am on my second Millrite. They are very nice machines, not a bunch of bells and whistles, but solid and well built. Clamps to the ground will likely not help ...

Collets in photo look like R8. I have a millrite base with Bridgeport head and a Rockwell. Millrite is much more rigid than the Rockwell or clausing. Value has a lot to do with condition. Three years ago I saw a millright like the one you are looking at sell for $1400.00. I thought that a tad high for the condition. Power feed adds to value.
